This class will focus on the study and use of digital media archives for both research and creative purposes. Students will learn about the expansive world of online media archives and pursue individual research and creative projects. Throughout the semester, we will consider the practical and ethical dimensions of exploring and using archival moving images (narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, news, video games, etc.) while also emphasizing the rich archival resources available in South Florida.
